Participation at the 10th European Congress of Local Governments in Poland

¸

President of the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA), Mrs. Pujo Tadić, had the honor of participating in the 10th European Congress of Local Governments – Economic Forum, held in Poland, where she took part in a panel discussion addressing the critical issues of climate, energy, and industrial policy. This year’s event was particularly significant as it followed the European Commission’s announcement of a new package of proposals (Omnibus, Clean Industrial Deal) aimed at transforming the regulatory framework in these essential areas.

In her speech, Mrs. Tadić engaged in insightful discussions with distinguished professionals, including Urszula Zielińska, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment; Ottó Toldi, Lead Analyst at the Institute for Climate Policy, Hungary; Maria Bąkowska, Member of the Board at the Marshal’s Office of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship; and Przemysław Janiszewski. Special thanks were extended to our moderator, Joanna Węgrzynowska, ESG Manager, whose expertise facilitated a dynamic and productive exchange of views.

The Congress continues to be a premier platform for dialogue, bringing together representatives from local and regional governments, central administration, business, academia, culture, and media. It offered a unique opportunity to network and collaborate with professionals from across Europe, including Filip Kaczyński, Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, among many others.

A heartfelt thank you was given to the exceptional organizing team, particularly Pola Lewicka and Zlata Bakshei, for their outstanding coordination and support throughout the event. As concluded in our discussions, our climate and social goals remain unchanged, and we will continue to work on them together.
