The International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) became a partner of the MUTIRÃO-BURKINDI COALITION initiative during the COP30 held in Belem (Brazil), while the president of IICA is Mrs. Marija Pujo Tadić gave a speech during the launch of this valuable initiative at a high level.
The COP30 Presidency announces the Mutirão and Burkina Coalition Capacity Building Initiative, developed in collaboration between the COP30 Presidency, including the COP28-COP29 troika, and Her Royal Highness Princess Abza Djigma Foundation.
The Mutirão and Burkindi Coalition Capacity Building Initiative is implemented through two integrated pathways: Adaptation and the Just Transition Work Program and contributes to the achievement of the Paris Climate and Sustainable Development Goals by connecting minds, people, solutions, eradicating poverty for resilient communities.
It will mobilize a catalytically available fund of USD 1 billion that will contribute to the launch of program projects and activities that expand local platforms for climate action in developing countries.
As IICA President Ms. Marija Pujo Tadić emphasized in her speech: “Thank you to the COP30 Presidency and Her Royal Highness Princess Abze Djigma for this important invitation, as well as to all the companies in our membership who want to build a better tomorrow by connecting with other companies in the world.
