Croatian Post d.d. has become the official recipient of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) certificate

¸

With great pride in our member Croatian Post HP, we share great news: Croatian Post has officially received confirmation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) — thus, their greenhouse gas emission reduction goals are aligned with the highest science-based global standards.

In addition, Croatian Post has committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030 (compared to 2023), and Scope 3 emissions by 25% by the same deadline. The goals are based on a scenario of limiting global warming to 1.5°C, in line with the Paris Agreement.

This success is not only a confirmation of their climate strategy but also a strong example of a proactive and systematic approach to sustainable business. Croatian Post plans to achieve net zero emissions by 2040, with concrete steps such as electrification of the fleet, investment in renewable sources, and increasing energy efficiency.

Congratulations to Croatian Post and a big thank you for setting an example of ambitious and responsible action in the fight against climate change.
The International Institute for Climate Action (IICA), with full commitment, continues to encourage and monitor its membership (companies) on their path to achieving complete climate neutrality by 2050, for the common good of the entire Croatian economy.
