Circle the Med – Mediterranean Forum

The President of the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) and the Special Advisor/Envoy for Climate Action of the Republic of Croatia, Ms. Marija Pujo Tadić, participated as a panelist at the 8th Circle the Med – Mediterranean Forum at the Acropolis Museum in Athens, which brought together leading policymakers, academics and representatives of international institutions from across the Mediterranean region.

The opening was facilitated by the speeches of the Mayor of Athens, Mr. Haris Doukas, and the EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Šuica (online), and the keynote speech was delivered by the former President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

The Mediterranean, as a crossroads of cultures, ideas, and cooperation, must also become a crossroads of energy transition, climate resilience, and sustainable tourism today.
To this end, Circle the Med serves as a strategic platform for dialogue and action in the region.

Accordingly, thanks are due to all participants: Lina Mazhar Annab – Minister of Tourism §Antiquities from Jordan; To Adey Eltaweel, Konstantinos Foutzopoulos, Alexia Spyridonidou and especially to the organizer, George Papandreou and his team, for their invitation to this extremely important conference that advocates for a more inclusive and united future for the Mediterranean and beyond.
