The European Commission (EC) has proposed a financial framework for the Next Generation EU. Now that we’re finally “catching our breath” after several months of nonstop hard work, I’d like to thank my entire “Croatian Climate Change Team” for their dedicated, persistent, and hard work during Croatia’s presidency of the EU Council in circumstances no one could have predicted (corona + earthquake)!

I am proud of my team because they never lost their enthusiasm and faith that even in difficult circumstances, we will complete all of the work in harmony and as a team to the end, showing all of Europe and the world calm and composed faces while the ground beneath us shakes.

Thank you to all colleagues from the EU member states, the Council of the EU and the European Commission as well as the UNFCCC for their support, and good luck to my dear colleagues from Germany in the continuation of the presidency of the Council of the EU.
