Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) – the largest and most independent association of employers and entrepreneurs in the Republic of Croatia, which has participated in the work of the Economic and Social Council at the national level since 1994 as the only employer representative, and operates through 30 branch associations – has signed a partnership agreement with the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) – the Republic of Croatia’s first association of experts in the field of climate change and policies, with the goal of promoting climate policies and assisting its members in the education and implementation of ESG criteria, resulting in a faster transition of the entire economy to a sustainable economy.
This collaboration has an international context as well, as IICA is a member of IASE – the International Association for Sustainable Economy – and has the right to ESG education both in the Republic of Croatia and throughout the region, while HUP has served as the headquarters of the UN initiative – UN Global Compact Croatia – since 2012.
HUP and IICA will collaborate to achieve the European Union’s overarching goal of making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.
