Franck joins the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA), the first association of experts in the Republic of Croatia that exclusively deals with climate change and policies. This organization’s goal is to invest in sustainability and the circular economy, which necessitates connecting and strengthening cooperation, open dialogue, and continuous education among all stakeholders.
Croatia’s transition to climate neutrality necessitates the active participation and contribution of all key stakeholders, ranging from governments and their institutions to the business and financial sectors, science, industry, and citizens themselves, in realizing the ambitious goal of transforming the entire European economy and society in accordance with the principles of sustainability, green growth, and circular economy, and achieving complete climate neutrality.
“By joining the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) in the year we celebrate our 130th anniversary, we confirm our strategic orientation toward sustainable business and green growth by integrating circular economy principles across all segments. Our common goal is to use resources more efficiently and reduce environmental pressures, which strengthens our competitiveness and innovation. In addition to this and other activities that await us in the near future, I would like to highlight the second Franck report on sustainable business that we are releasing this year, which includes all of our previous activities and future plans, and which defines our company’s long-term vision.” Ivan Artuković stated, director of Franck.
IICA typically includes all participants in this process, leading the integration of climate goals into all policies and encouraging continuous communication among legislative bodies, experts, the business sector, and citizens.
“We are extremely pleased that the management of Franck d.o.o. recognized that through IICA they have direct contact with the new way of doing business, which includes ESG criteria (environmental, social and management), and which represent a tool for transitioning the economy to a sustainable economy. Companies with “visionary leadership” who recognize this moment, face the challenges, and begin implementing the necessary processes to achieve ESG goals will operate with a higher return on investment and better access to cheaper sources of financing than companies that continue with traditional management policies and resources.”
“As experts, we are delighted to be able to assist companies like Franck d.o.o. in becoming leaders and role models for many other companies on the path of transitioning the economy to a sustainable economy, all in the pursuit of the common goal of making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050,” said Marija Pujo Tadić, president of the International Institute for Climate Action.
The goal of IICA is to assist the business community in combating climate change, reducing CO2 emissions, incorporating the Low Carbon Strategy, the Adaptation Strategy, and the European Green Plan into their business plans and processes, and thus achieving sustainable, green economic development and growth in both the Republic of Croatia and the EU, while preserving the environment and climate.
