On 30 June 2020, the six-month period of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU ended.

Now that we are finally “catching our breath” after many months of continuous hard work, I would like to thank the entire Croatian Climate Change Team for their commitment, persistence and hard work during Croatia’s Presidency of the Council of the EU in yet unseen circumstances (the coronavirus pandemic and the earthquake in Zagreb).

I am proud of our team because even in the hardest moments, they didn’t lose their enthusiasm and faith in completing our work as a team and showed their unwavering commitment and composure on (sometimes) uncertain grounds to the entire Europe and the rest of the world.

Thank you to all our colleagues from the EU member states, the Council of the EU, the European Commission and the UNFCCC for their support, and I wish our dear colleagues from Germany all the luck with their Presidency of the Council of the EU.
