Mrs. Pujo Tadić, a member of the Republic of Croatia’s official delegation, attended the international climate conference COP28 in Dubai, UAE, from November 30 to December 13, 2023. COP28, the largest gathering of its type, drew more than 90,000 participants and resulted in an agreement to triple the world’s renewable energy capacity and double energy efficiency by 2030. Finally, a clear message was given regarding the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources to achieve the common objective of zero net emissions by 2050, which would make Europe the first climate-neutral continent.
Mrs. Pujo Tadić shared her analysis of COP28 and comments on taking urgent measures regarding the climate issue on the official website of IRMO (Institute for Official Development and International Relations), which can be found at the link.
