On April 26, 2022, a conference on the climate crisis was held in Zagreb as part of the celebration of 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Croatia and the State of Israel as part of the Večernji list project Resolution Earth in collaboration with the Embassy of the State of Israel.
The conference’s theme was CLIMATE AND ECONOMY, with a focus on financing sustainable development, the relationship between clean energy and traditional sources, digitalization, e-mobility, and transportation.
Mrs. Marija Pujo Tadić, president of the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA), spoke as a panelist and stated, “Climate change represents an increasing risk and impact on society, the economy, and the ecosystem at the global level, and changes must be implemented within the framework of the current models, policies, and sectors, with mutual cooperation and the transfer of good practice, with the quickest possible implementation of the Croatian Climate Change Strategy and using ESG as a tool for transitioning the economy to a sustainable economy”, which was, among other things, the final conclusion of the Conference.
