BIOGRAFIJA

– expert in the field of waste management

Born on March 5, 1965 in Dubrovnik, where he finished primary and secondary school for administrative and legal officer. In 1993 he graduated on the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb, and got title Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

He worked couple years as a commercialist in meat and egg production industry. From 1997 to 2007 he worked in Veterinarska stanica d.o.o, Dvor. In that, the postwar period, he established the veterinary service in the entire area of municipality of Dvor, renewed poultry farm “ROSULJE” devastated during the war and began with production of broilers and construction of the first bio-gas plant in Croatia that uses animal manure to produce electricity.

From 2007 until to 2009 he worked In the Veterinary Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia on the establishment of a system for the identification and monitoring of animals in traffic. As a specialist he participated in the negotiations on the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the EU. Since 2009 he is employed in the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund EPEEF) as Assistant Director for the management of special categories of waste (PKO).

On that position he designed and implemented measures who was improved and financially stabilized system of PKO. Since 2012 he is Advisor of the Director of Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. As a representative of the Fund, he was a member of several working groups for the development of laws and regulations in the field of waste management.

Participated in numerous domestic and international conferences, seminars and trainings in the field of veterinary medicine, environmental protection and energy efficiency. Collaborator on several international projects, as a guest lecturer he gave lectures on waste management at the Veleučilište Velika Gorica (VVG), Velika Gorica and the Tehničko Veleučilište Zagreb, Zagreb.

In the begining of 2020, he was elected for assistent at Veleučilište Velika Gorica, on the subject of Waste Management. He is the author and co-author of several professional papers and a reviewer of papers in the field of waste management. 2015. he passed the exam for Project Manager funded by EU funds at Special Skills Academy Ltd., London, UK. In 2019, he completed his training and got a Professional Diploma in Leadership & Management, EQF Level 5, at Shaw Academy Dublin, Ireland.

He is Member of the Board of Directors of the International Institute for Climate Action (IICA), Zagreb, since 2017. Participant in the Homeland War, father of three children and soon grandfather. He is proud that he walked french rute of Camino in 2018 and on his 54 birthday started to learn play violin. After one year of practice, his son says that he can differentiate some tones when his father playing.
