He was born in the Croatian city of Zagreb. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Political Sciences, a master’s degree in international relations, and a doctorate in international relations and national security.
Following the conclusion of the Homeland War (in which he volunteered), he continued his career in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia, holding a variety of positions ranging from Head of Service for Military Envoys and Bilateral Relations to Military Envoy in the United States and Canada and Head of the Verification Center for Weapons Control.
He continued to work as a diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia after his military career ended, and in 2017, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Administration by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. He currently holds the position of advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
He has participated as an independent presenter/lecturer at numerous conferences and expert gatherings in Croatia and abroad on international relations, regional and international security, and foreign policy.
He is the author of “The United States of America and the Global Environment,” as well as several professional and scientific articles on international relations, foreign policy, and diplomacy.
He teaches at Libertas International University, Croatian Military Academy, Croatian Studies, and the MVEP Diplomatic Academy. At the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, he was awarded the scientific title of scientific associate, as well as the scientific and teaching title of assistant professor.
He volunteers as a member of the Center for International Studies. He is one of the Association of Croatian Diplomats initiators and founders. He serves on the boards of the Atlantic Council of Croatia and the Croatian Association for International Studies (HUMS).
He received numerous honors and medals.
