President of the Committee for the financial sector
Since the beginning of his professional career, Goran has been active in the field of environmental protection and pollution prevention and control.
As the director of the Croatian Center for Cleaner Production for a period of 12 years, he gained significant experience in working with industry and international and domestic partners by implementing projects in the field of pollution prevention, material and energy efficiency and socially responsible business. During that period, about 70 companies from all industrial sectors participated in cleaner production projects through training and education.
Author of numerous environmental impact studies and expert documentation required as part of obtaining environmental permits for industry. Active as a UNIDO consultant on pollution prevention and reduction projects in industry.
Since 2017, he has been employed at Grupa Končar, where he led the project of introducing the EMAS system into the organization when the company Končar – Energetika i usluge d.o.o. became the second organization in Croatia to join the EU environmental management and independent assessment system (EMAS).
Furthermore, at the Group level, he engaged in and led activities related to the development of the ESG strategy as well as the development of operational plans and procedures, with a particular emphasis on carbon footprint measurement.
Since September 2024, Goran is employed at Hrok d.o.o. as director of the Product Sector for ESG reporting.
Graduated with a master’s degree in technical sciences from Zagreb’s Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, and pursued professional studies in energy efficiency and environmental management. In addition, he has an EMBA (Cotrugli Business Academy).
Author of numerous professional articles on topics such as industry, environmental protection, waste management, and management systems, as well as participant in a number of domestic and international seminars and symposia on this topic.
